This tournament we had a few repeats as far as MVP goes. These girls played really well and I am proud that we FINALLY got to beat one of the teams that we had on our list of teams to beat from the beginning of the season. Storm gave a preview of what was to come in the Charlotte Regionals as well as a definite reminder that we deserved to be the #7 ranked team out of 47 no matter how the beginning of the season started for us. Thank you JALYNN for her aggressiveness on the front row that you showed throughout the day. She made sure that other teams knew she was present and was not to be taken lightly. Thank you KEYONNA for staying positive through the entire day and giving your all. When you made a mistake, you made sure to make up for this. Thank you MERRYCK for your passion on the court and keeping your fire as well as playing your position and taking it seriously. Thank you DAYONA for continuously stepping your game up and doing what I asked. These 4 girls played very well for our last regular season tournament and I am proud of how they ended the regular season overall.
Congrats to these ladies!
Surprise, Coach Waneisha made it!!
We almost had a Cinderella story ending--like extremely close. The girls got 2nd in OPEN SILVER. I can't explain just how proud I am of them. I still replay those last two points in my mind and I think of what could've been done differently but that is all in the past now. Nobody would've thought that the team they saw in Myrtle Beach would end the season was the #6 ranked team in the Palmetto Region. These little ones pulled through in a major way.
Throughout everything we had happen with this season, these players ended it with respect from every team and group of parents that we saw through the entire season. No matter what differences we went through, by the end we were still the fan favorites. I will miss these players and I wish them the best as they move on in their volleyball careers.
I just ask that they remember me when they go pro.
The 18 National Black team really stepped up their game in the final tournament of the season. The team went undefeated on the final two days of the tournament and was able to take home GOLD in the Power division. Congratulations to the team.....
Storm bonding at the movies!
